Watching from the sidelines, Colin Braybrook set off like he was aiming for a good time and was in the first 20 after about 1.5 miles. Colin was looking pleased after finishing when he commented that it was his fastest (1.21) for over a year at least. Colin was later awarded as overall 2nd in the Hertfordshire count champs. Steve Davies was aiming for a sub-1.30 but commented afterwards that he had to stop for a maybe minute or two. [Hopefully not in the same way as Steve Jones! – Ed] A time of 1.32 is still a good for VRUK and if the chip had worked, the time would have been lower. His daughter also ran in the under-8s event.
