Tracey Guild reports back on an enjoyable Yorkshire Coast 10k at Scarborough:

‘Vegan Runners, Rich Caxton & Tracy Guild ran in the 2014 Yorkshire Coast 10k at Scarborough.

We were apprehensive as the forecast was for thick fog, however as we reached Scarborough the mist lifted to leave a stunningly beautiful day. Bright sunshine and hardly any wind. Perfect running weather. The race was fantastically well organised and we both thoroughly enjoyed our second ever 10k road race.

Richard ran 45.49 & Tracy got 3 new personal bests! Fastest 10k 54.51, fastest mile 8.11, fastest 5k 26.16.

To round it off we went to CALF, the vegan cafe, run by volunteers, so all the profit goes to their animal sanctuary. Had a delicious meal followed by chocolate cake to share!
