A hilly 10k so no PB potential, i always aim to attempt to beat my previous run when taking part in a race i have done before. So having got around in 41mins 12secs last year i crossed the finish line this year in 41mins 11secs . So an improvement of 1 second over 12 months.
This event was generously offering prizes for the first 3 in each age category, so that was an ideal opportunity for me to preform my usual trick and come in 4th in my category.
I was running in my other vest Southampton (chance of a team prize, club will cease to exist next month due to merger), on which i have stencilled with a textile marker Vegan Runners. So i suggest other Vegan Runners who occassionally run for another club could do likewise. Nobody has ever complained to me about it.
