Great to see VRUK members amongst those running the V3K Ultra and Vegan Carneddau Half last weekend. These extremely challenging events require all participants to follow a vegan diet for the day – highly recommended by those who’ve done them and a great chance to run with other vegans or volunteer your time to help show the ‘vegan for the day’ folk that vegans know how to eat well 🙂

‘Running across Crib Goch during this weekends Vegan Welsh 3,000s. Incredible event, thanks to all the organisers and love to everyone I met that day. Must be one of the best races in britain for so many reasons as well as fully vegan aid stations!’
Well done to Matt Freake for finishing the Vegan Carneddau which is a lot tougher than your average trail half marathon, Matt reports:
‘Can only just see the vest, but here is me plodding round the Vegan Carneddau on Saturday. Much respect to the other Vegan Runners who did the full V3K, managed to say hi to one of you at the finish.
If you have any interest in mountain/fell running I can thoroughly recommend this race. Lovely organisers, lovely setting and great vegan food at the end.’
