Terrified of Robin Hood

We hear from Liz Lowe who is ramping up to her first marathon in Notts this autumn!

On 21st March I ran the Reading Half in 2:18:01
I didn’t wear my club vest as I hadn’t trained fully and was ill the
previous week so I wasn’t confident about it at all. We all know what
people are going to blame if I collapse half way through wearing a vegan
vest! [Ed – yes…. DRINK! Gin is vegan you know….]

On 18th April I ran the Highworth 5 in 00:48:21
Again didn’t wear the vest. [Ed – hopefully a vest though…? She doesn’t mention being arrested…]

On 30th May I shall be running the Newbury 10k and am aiming for a sub 1
hour. I shall be wearing the vest.

On 6th June I may be running the Kintbury 5 miles but I probably won’t as
I have marathon training to do. [Oh go on…. Ed]

On 12th September I’ll be running the Robin Hood marathon. This is my
first marathon and I’m, quite frankly, terrified. I’m doing it in aid of
Alzheimer Scotland so I’ll be wearing their vest.
[Nothing to be afraid of! Look at this crowd of happy smiling people from last year….allpics.JPG]
