I ran the Hardmoors 55 yesterday. Crazy run in very deep snow, gale force winds and temperatures up to minus 20 on the tops. So cold the water pipes on our backpacks froze. So windy you had to lean 45 degrees into the wind to stop from being blown over. Good marshalling and race organistion kept us all safe. 55 miles later I was glad to get to the end, the weather had given me a bit of a battering. I’ve rarely encountered such cold conditions. Only just defrosting….
