It’s Michael Winnemuller over here in Canada. Just wanted to let you know about a few things going on with me in the next year.
I’ve been doing a lot of training in the last few months. I’ve lost 30 lbs. in the last 6 months. Getting back into running mode. I have 2 bigger races planned for next year. Firstly, I will be running my hometown marathon in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This will be my Boston qualifier. I’m working my mileage up to 120 km. a week. I’m currently at about 80 km. a week right now. That race is in June. And then through the summer, I will concentrating on the North Face Canadian Death Race. I am entering it as a soloist. If you’re not familiar with the race, it is a 125 km. footrace up and over 3 mountain summits and it needs to be completed in 24 hours. This race takes place in Grande Cache, Alberta which is 2 hours south of where I currently live ( www.canadiandeathrace.com ). I’ve done a lot of mountain climbing this summer. You can check out a program I’ve been doing in Grande Cache, AB at this website:

I’m at the bottom of the bronze list. I did all 6 bronze mountains this summer and 3 of the 7 silvers. I hope to get the rest of the silver and gold mountains completed next year. I’ve become more of a raw foodist in the last year or 2 which has helped me greatly on my energy levels. Vegan power is back. I look forward to next summer and I will be wearing my Vegan Runners vest in some of my races (I’m doing every local race throughout the summer to get me in competitive mode).
Hope all is well over there. Have a good winter.
