Ed: Fiona Oakes does the business once again. Fiona does not have many opportunities to race due to the Animal Sanctuary commitments but when she does race, there is a chance the results could be something special if not fast. Fiona reports in Facebook:

On Saturday I won the Ruska Marathon in Finland in a course record of 2hrs 58 beating the next woman by 24 minutes and all but 3 of the men. I ran it with my backpack on as I am training for MdS next year and the course was extremely hilly and tough, it felt really easy. Lots of press at the end interviewed me asking about my veganism and I was so proud to carry my Vegan Runners vest across the finish line in first place. I think it is the best feeling to be able to make our voice heard to those who don’t want to listen!
