On Sunday I ran the Faversham 10K,my 7th time for this event. Although we were blessed with sunshine on the day, the temperatures were up again, making this run more challenging than usual.
The HQ is set in the grounds of a school and I nearly tripped over at the beginning, not seeing one of those traffic controlling bumps on the road out.
The course is a pleasant rural one, with a long severe descent around the 6K point. It also passes Brogdale – home of the National Fruit Collection, which holds over 3,500 named fruits.
I completed in 57:57. 292/543. Cat M60+ 17/28.
On the Saturday I met up with member Peter Simpson at the University of Kent, for Canterbury parkrun, he ran while I volunteered as Timekeeper.
