Cross country leagues normally hold their first meeting / event at the beginning of October. Whilst VRUK is not registered with any league, members are welcome to participate as a guest runner for a nominal fee payable on the day. To find out more about your local cross country league, you could visit a local club website or keep visiting the Power of Ten diary. Results from last winter’s cross country leagues are likely to available here. You could also do a web search on ‘cross country leagues’.

The English County Cross Country Championships are normally held early January subject to the weather and are organised by your local County Athletic Association. Registered members with England Athletics should be eligible to enter their county championship or the county where they were born. Closing date is normally early December. If you have difficulty finding the information to enter please contact the club secretary, Peter Simpson.

It is recommended that you wear cross country shoes or trail shoes with good grip in heavy conditions.
