No excuses, but have been doing less and less ‘events’, this year, so it has been good to log-on to the Vegan Runners Blog and see what our more dedicated runners have been doing!   

That said, I was rather surprised to recieve an oddly-shaped parcel thru the post yesterday, after shaking it and prodding it to make sure it was not a letter-bomb) it was duly opended to reveal a small memento in the shape of a trainer informing me that I had come in ‘3rd Lady’ in the 55-64 age group at the Marham 10-mile road race on the 11th July. Sorry Maria, but cannot find the results anywhere!

 

The only other event I have to report is finishing the ‘West Wight Wander’, which took place on the Isle of Wight on the 18th July. No time was given on our certificate for completing the 25-mile course, but I can tell you that owing to an unofficial stop at a completely to die for T-Shop, we finished last out of the 35 walkers taking part!      

 

Hey Ho, I am now going to try and get my act together and do some training for the Great North Run – where I will hope to catch up with some of you!
