We hear from Keith Gilbert, who is…..
a new member of Vegan Runners UK.Yesterday I ran The Bailey’s Nissan Whitstable 10K Race,my first race in club vest!
The weather was rather cool and breezy, which was a great relief after the heavy winds and rainfall the previous day. With the benefits of chip timing I came in at 51:01. 278th out of 556 finishers which interestingly put me exactly mid point. It was a pleasant course; flat and much of it run on the sea wall ,with the water immediately beside you.
That’s it for now,on the 23 May I should be running the Canterbury Half Marathon, which is generally considered a rather challenging course.
[Good luck Keith – hey, you know it’s only fun because it’s tough, right? – Ed]
