Verna Runs a Rare 10K on the Road

Bearbrook 10K, near Aylesbury 11/8/13

After recent triathlons, Verna Burgess decided to try something different or rather short than normal. Verna was not sure what to expect in terms of time so was quite satisfied with 47.30 and 7th V45. The conditions were quite good for running apart from the wind in places. In the latter mile of the course, runners had to beware of three horses that turned into the path of runners just at the wrong time. The whole field was heading towards the horses and the odd car. Realised how difficult it was to marshal the t-junction close to the finish with no traffic restrictions.
