On Sunday I did The Wingham 10K, my fifth go at this. It’s a nice friendly rural event in East Kent, organized by Wingham Trotters, this year was it’s 27th year.
As usual, I cycled the round trip of 20 miles, to get to the event and back. It threatened to be a very warm day, but the temperatures during the run, were not too bad, on this rather undulating course.
I finished in 54:08, 104/171. Not one of my best, but happy to be able run it, following ill health for much of the year.
John Munson from The VC&AC, as usual, also ran. Now 78, he informed me that his times were getting faster this year.
On the Saturday, I managed to creep in under 25 minutes at Whitstable Parkrun, with 24:58.
This Sunday, I’m off to Faversham, for another trot round their 10K.
