Mike Tomkins reports back on a tough half!

‘First race of 2015 for me today, Harewood House half marathon just outside Leeds, finished in 1:36:40 and my girlfriend reckons I was in top 25 out of 1000. Weather was lovely and scenery beautiful but course wise was toughest half marathon I have ever taken part in, lots of hills that aren’t necessarily huge but all extremely steep, also being trail was very uneven. Also managed five mile run with girlfriend when got back to Birmingham so I am going to get stuck into a couple of beers I bought on the way home even though I am only half way through marathon training.’
