Start with a run\, finish collecting your eco-friendly medal. Then relax and enjoy the delicious free vegan food\, whilst listening to artists and poets\, singing and speaking for the planet. \nThe run briefing will start at 10.30am\, and the run will start shortly after. This is not a timed run. Whether you’re a seasoned runner\, just starting out\, a walker or just coming to support\, everyone is welcome. Kids can take part in the 5k run\, but there is a shorter fun run for younger children. All children must be accompanied by an adult. \nRUN FOR THE PLANET (VIRTUAL RUN) \nCan’t make it but want to participate\, then take part in our virtual run. All you have to do is buy a virtual run ticket and run or walk at least a 5km route and share on your social media with the tag #A Run For The Planet. We will contact soon after the race for your address to send you a free medal. \nPEOPLE PLACE PLANET DIDSBURY \nWe are pleased to have the local community group People Place Planet Didsbury supporting the event and joining us on the day with a stall. DESCRIPTION:Vegan Runners UK are excited to be partnering with the Running Out of Time Relay for another year! \nThe Relay launches at Ben Nevis before undertaking an extraordinary 2 436 km journey through 50 cities and towns to Big Ben. Comprising 210 stages – and 80+ visits to climate & nature projects\, sporting bodies & venues\, schools\, events and iconic locations – it’s set to be the most spectacular Climate Relay yet. \nThe Relay aims to raise awareness\, inspire action and celebrate great climate work across the country and is partnering with a wide range of climate campaigns\, projects and events ; sporting bodies; and local Councils. It’s also visiting 50 schools along the route. \nIt features famous sporting venues; stunning natural sites; schools; universities; community projects; music\, fashion & climate events. And a host of different and eye-catching ways to move the baton which will be run\, walked\, cycled\, swum\, paddled\, triathloned\, sailed\, skied\, para-glided and wake boarded along the way! \nIt should be exciting\, epic and inspirational and we’d love you to join us!
