Member Bruce Lovell showed extreme commitment to the Rainbow Re-homing Center running a sub-3 marathon with agonising toothache last weekend:
‘Despite not sleeping for two days due to a mammoth tooth ache and a distinct lack of training I managed to tough out An 8th place finish in a field of 2000 in the brutally hilly Walled City Marathon in Derry today. I finished in 2:51:36 to come 3rd in the Vet 35-39 cat on my 39th Birthday! Happy Birthday me! Dentist tomorrow at 9am! Happy Running Vegan Friends!!’
Rebecca Parry and Maria Hamilton spent the weekend in South Africa running the 5km Durban parkrun followed by the classic 90km Comrades Marathon.
