Boscombe 5k race 3 Fri Dec 16th

Having got to the SEAA Masters Cross Country event late on Saturday Dec 10th because of rail disruption on day. I was thus left to spectate Peter Simpson finishing the event. So on the plus side i was fresh on Monday to start training up for the Friday evening 5k along Boscome seafront. Training went well during week so i was in expectation of a good time. Boscome is an out and back 5k, during the winter sand blown on to promenade is left to lie, so a tarmac/sand running surface. At the halfway mark, your time is given to you as you turn, my 5k target this year has been to break 19mins , having got to within 5 seconds of it previously, so when 10mins 08 was shouted at me enthusiasm waned for the last 2.5k and i crossed the line in 20mins 35secs.
