On Sunday I ran in The Stelling Minnis 10K, this was my second go at this event centred around the quiet Kent village of Stelling Minnis. I take a pleasant 9 mile cycle route along quiet roads to get there, the journey is generally uphill all the way there, but there is of course the compensation of the downhill cruise home.
The morning was blessed with fair weather, the only dry sunny morning for some weeks now, making the
the event a pleasant jaunt along rural roads with the long infamous hill coming in at about 6.5K; on the OS map the road is marked with the > gradient symbol.
I was given a finishing time of 51:38, 50th out of 117 finishers. A bit of an improvement on last years 52:44.
Well done all you marathoners, good performances all round,
Keith.
