I did the Carding Mill Canter in Church Stretton last weekend. It’s not so much a canter as a rollercoaster, the hills aren’t high but they are steep up and steep down, anything in between is fast running, so it makes for good fun- well if you like getting your kicks that way anyway. I’ve failed to get very fit so far due to the northern winter, seemingly endless colds and increased work load due to being a newly divorced mortgage payer again! However, stubborn bloody mindedness can get you a long way, and although I was in second place early on I managed to get my nose in front by the finish- just.. onwards and upwards.
